Two Empty Cups ( Haiku )

Two empty cups awaited in silence 

For an intense conversation

To fill them up ! 

Story behing this haiku ..

This happened when I was on a date with my childhood crush to whom I finally told my feelings after a long time.

I had imagined a bunch of stuff to talk about with her as a normal guy does but what followed was a nightmare.

She had no clue about what I was talking. Being it books , writing , movies , games , music or fashion trends.. she seemed like a child while talking .

And that day I noticed that looks are not the only thing that is important for me or any other person in this world to get attracted to opposite gender. What is inside his or her mind matters most !! 

The first time I had this amazing girl in front of me and I didn’t feel that affection to her .. It was akward moment for both of us but somehow I managed it !!

  3. Great point. I happen to agree! It’s what’s on the inside that counts. I recently felt enamored by someone who turned out to be empty on the inside. It was sad and disappointing! 🙂

    Funny how we build them up through our lens…then they show us who they actually are!

    1. Haha… Sometimes I laugh on myself when I remember how I was used to be earlier as a person and what choices I had made !! 😋 But really it’s as motivating as funny to keep going forward and see beyond the beauty of skin .. sometimes it’s just a few words that can turn you on !! 🙂

      4. Oh.. get well soon dear 😃 I’ve heard that doing something which actually makes us happy also gives the psychological benifit to heal fast !! And in your case, it’s reading then I’m sure you are going to heal pretty fast. Sorry if I sound like a nerd here but I am going to be a doctor and it’s like I’m a social nerd . I like intellectual talks and vulnerable conversations 😃
